Notes: this features Death from The Sandman Comic books. This is for the beginnings challenge. My first drabble, don't know how good it is. Plus its a tiny bit more than 100 words.

"Are you Emma?"

She turns from the scene in front of her to see a small, slender girl dressed all in black.

"Yes," she whispers "and you are not what I was expecting."

"I get that a lot," the girl laughs as she sticks her hands in her pockets.

"Are they going to be all right?"

"No, not at first," the girl exclaims, ”They all love you and this is going hurt them more than they will ever be able to admit.”

"What happens to me now?" she whispers, her voice thick with emotion.

"We got big plans for you, This is not the end. Just another beginning to another adventure."
