Senseless Sensibilities
Title: Senseless Sensibilities
Author: Wynefred (with help from Ylquin)
Rating: PG (for mild language)
Spoilers/Warning: No spoilers.
Archiving: MX100.
Note: This is from "Sense and Sensibility" and the quotes are bolded. This is my first drabble, and my first attempt at a fic since high-school, so please be gentle.

"Where the hell is she?" Brennan bellowed.

Jesse's calm voice came from behind the computer screen, "I think we can all guess where she went."

She'd been out on another personal mission. Took off in the Helix without a word to anyone. By the time she strolled boldly into Sanctuary, Brennan had worked himself into a frenzy.

"Lexa!" She stopped, obviously annoyed at his furious tone.

"You promised you wouldn't use the Helix for your personal vendettas anymore!"

"I never said anything so irrational. I suggest you get your facts straight, Sparky."

She slipped smugly past him into her office.

ETA: Drabbles are much harder to write than they look!

*giggles* These Sense and Sensibility quotes are a real hit among you guys, huh? This really made me laugh, Wynefred, and this is quite good for your first drabble. :)

Thanks, V. Jane Austin was a clever writer... she came up with some kicking lines. :)

Ah, but you write it so well! I like the Brennan vs. Lexa conflict a lot. Of course Brennan being called Sparky helps. :g:

I'm very proud of myself for knowing where the quotes are from without checking the book. ;)

Yeah, I couldn't resist using Sparky. Oh, and I was so concerned with those darned cut tags that I forgot to thank you up there for pushing me to do this. It was fun! So, thanks!

I'm proud of you too! I picked some obscure ones! That Mr. Palmer cracks me up.
