Everything moved slowly when I saw her. The rain seemed to fall gently, like snowflakes. Standing beneath the street light, its glow creating a ring of light around her crimson hair.

"Emma?" was all that I could say.

She turned slowly and grinned.I tried to say more, to tell her all the things that I should have said before but I couldn't speak. She touched her heart and nodded.

"Good bye, Bren" echoed through my head as she disappeared, nothing more than a ghost, nothing less than the girl she always was.
